7 Buying Mistakes if You’re Hiring a Business Coach #6

Mistake #6 Not doing the process as designed
Most coaches have a format that they’ve developed that works – if you follow their process the way it is designed. The mistake is hiring a coach and then doing it your way.

Graham wanted to cut sessions short, skip session appointments, didn’t do the ‘homework’ and generally tried to short-cut the sessions. He was constantly acting bored or distracted and asking me to ‘cut to the chase’.

A lot of clients are more knowledgable, richer, smarter, more powerful, better qualified and more experienced than me. Their businesses are bigger than mine. But they’ve got problems that aren’t fixing. If they knew how to fix the problem they would have done so.

Tip: If you engage a coach, be coachable. Follow the programme as designed.
